The 1969 Dinner was the first held after Norman Thomas' death, and the organizers decided to make it a "memorial" dinner. Subsequent dinners continued the name Norman Thomas - Eugene V. Debs Dinners. The 1969 event was held at the Midland Hotel in downtown Chicago on May 17. We have no other information regarding the program.
