Chicago DSA Hosts Largest General Meeting To Date

Posted By | Categories Uncategorized

On Sunday December 10, 2017, we held our best-attended general meeting yet! 142 members were physically present and 23 voted by proxy.

At the meeting, membership had the chance to review and revise the decisions made by the Executive Committee since June of this year and to hear updates from the campaigns that are ongoing in our chapter and in the working groups.

Kenzo Shibata and Abby Agriesti led an activity in which we got to share with each other what we would say to our boss if we could really be honest, and Ramsin Canon and Will Kong answered some of your questions about socialist history and terminology.

Perhaps most notably, we voted to endorse Carlos Rosa’s Congressional campaign. The vote was not without debate and spurred a conversation about further developing our chapter’s endorsement procedures.

If you have any feedback on the meeting please fill out this form.

We’re excited to continue in this work with all of you! See you at the next one in March!

Solidarity Forever,

The CDSA Executive Committee
