Breaking Up the Boys’ Club: Lunch & Labor Feminism

February 4, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm UTC+0

Join us for the first meeting of the Fannie Sellens Society, an offshoot of the CDSA labor working group. The Society is geared towards providing a social and intellectual space for non-men to learn more about labor and DSA’s labor working group, and contribute towards a larger conversation about how to build an intersectional feminist labor movement.

For our first meeting, we’ll be discussing Sarah Jaffe’s article in Dissent Magazine, “Trickle Down Feminism”: https://www.dissentmagazine.org/article/trickle-down-feminism

You can also listen to this podcast if you have time, but we won’t be directly referencing it in the discussion:
https://www.dissentmagazine.org/blog/audio-what-woulddoes-a-feminist-labor-movement-look-like

Along with reading the article, please bring ideas for what you’d like to see for this group!

The meeting is open to members and non-members alike, provided that you do not identify as a man.
