Chicago for Ginger Jentzen Fundraiser

October 6, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm UTC+0

Ginger Jentzen is running as a proud socialist for Minneapolis City Council. Struggling alongside workers and unions, she led the movement for a $15 minimum wage in Minneapolis– the first major Midwest city to pass $15. This will lead to $140 million going from the profit margins of big business to the pockets of 71,000 working people every year, disproportionately improving the lives of women and people of color in the city.

Ginger, like Seattle’s Kshama Sawant, is fighting to show what we can accomplish if we take the workers’ and socialist movement to the halls of power. Ginger’s council seat can be a megaphone for the movement, and the campaign is calling for rent control and affordable housing, taxing the rich, community control of the police, and fighting Trump.

Ginger will also be accountable to our movement. She takes no corporate money and vows to take a workers’ wage while on the council. She needs our support! Electing Ginger will place another fighting socialist in power, setting an example that can reverberate to Chicago and the rest of the Midwest! Please join progressives and socialists at this exciting fundraiser
