Socialist Night School – What is the Working Class?

March 29 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm CDT

Hi Comrades,
We’re happy to announce that the first Socialist Night School session of 2020 will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 29.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, we’ll be trying out an all-digital format on Zoom! Though we can’t be face-to-face, we can still have productive discussion.

Join us as we revisit the ever-important question – What is the Working Class?

You can find the readings here.  They include two readings from Karl Marx, an excerpt from Dr. Keeanga Yamahtta Taylor’s “From Black Lives Matter to Black Liberation” and a brief essay by Vivek Chibber. *Please do your best to have completed these readings by Sunday!* Since we will be teleconferencing with a large group, it will be helpful to have some familiarity with the readings.

To help get your thoughts flowing, we’ve included a reading question for each portion, as well as some brief historical context for the older pieces.

Since we like to have enough facilitators for each session, please let us know you intend to attend by RSVPing here.
We hope to see your digital face soon!

To join the Zoom Meeting, please download the Zoom app for your phone or laptop, and we will send out the log-in info
